The off season is critical to the overall growth of every Player. A Player’s physical and skill development is as much about time invested as it is in personal skill level. Octagon staff consists of professionals who are at the leading edge of player development - Kevin Ziegler (off-ice training) and Barry Karn (power skating) and of five former professional hockey players who share their insight with clients/prospects as they develop their careers.
NHL Draft Preparation - At Octagon, we understand that the NHL Entry Draft is, in one sense, the culmination of each player’s countless hours of dedication and determination. More importantly, it is the beginning of a long quest to become one of the world’s elite hockey players. We have lived it as Players, so we know that it is an emotional time for Players and their families, however, to ensure that our clients remain focused on his performance during the season leading up to the NHL Entry Draft we assist with the following preparations:
